Electric cars as the ecological future of transport
Mironova, Alexandra ; Walek, Agata (referee) ; Jašková, Jana (advisor)
Possibilities of Present Automobile Fuels Substitution
Doležal, Lukáš ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The presented bachelor thesis deals with contemporary fuels and their substitutes . The first part summarises properties and future of crude oil and today commonly and mostly used fuels that are made from oil. These are mainly petrol and diesel oil. The second part is focused on alternative fuels such as LPG, natural gas, bio-fuel and hydrogen. Each subchapter summarises the most important characteristics, advantages and disadvantages. The third part deals with electric energy used as a substitute . This chapter is divided into three subchapters, namely electromobiles, fuel cells and hybrid vehicles. The individual subchapters again summarise the most important information, above all advantages and disadvantages. In the conclusion, emulsive oil is also mentioned.
Study of the ecology of electric vehicle
Varhaník, Jiří ; Jandová, Kristýna (referee) ; Jaššo, Kamil (advisor)
The first chapter of this bachelor's thesis describes the history of electric cars, their origin, success and decline at the time. The following chapter deals with the clarification of the carbon footprint with regard to the connection to other chapters in the field of ecology of passenger cars. The main goal of this thesis was to study the issues related to the ecology of passenger cars with a focus on electric vehicles in the Czech Republic. The~ecology of vehicles covers all periods of the car's life-cycle, starting with the production, following with utilization, final disposal and recycling of the vehicle. Another goal was to select and describe a suitable methodology for calculating the environmental impact of these vehicles. In the practical part, the relations and calculation methodologies were determined, data sources for individual parameters of these relations were obtained and the calculations were performed. The last part was about processing the obtained data into equations, tables and graphs.
Environmental and Health Benefits of Electromobility
Sanetrník, Michal ; Bendl, Jiří (advisor) ; Hůnová, Iva (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the health and environmental benefits of electromobility. The main objective of this thesis is to describe the current health and environmental risks of emissions from combustion engine vehicles and to determine whether electric vehicles eliminate these risks. The secondary objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of current emission regulations in automotive transportation. The first part of this thesis describes the current state of air pollution, sources of pollution, exposure and health impacts on the population. The second part is dedicated to electric vehicles and vehicles with combustion engines, and compares their health and environmental impacts. The output of this thesis is that combustion engine vehicles contribute to more than four million premature deaths worldwide each year, accelerate global climate change, damage the ozone layer, contribute to acidification, eutrophication, and negatively affect vegetation and pollinators. For these reasons, it is necessary to switch to a health and environmentally friendly alternative. Battery electric vehicles appear to be a suitable replacement in all areas covered by this thesis, especially if their implementation is accompanied by a transition to renewable sources. Keywords air polution, emissions, premature...
The impacts of battery electric vehicles production on material use
Pěnkavová, Markéta ; Ščasný, Milan (advisor) ; Janda, Karel (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to estimate the material impact of the BEV production with the main focus on the BEV battery material demand. This is done using the life cycle analysis (LCA) along with detailed analysis of the battery material demand which is then linked to dynamic computable general equilibrium (CGE) model. The hybrid form of a fully dynamic CGE model is used to estimate the vehicle stock and annual new registrations for five different vehicle technologies (BEV, PHEV, Petrol, Diesel, CNG) in 2015 to 2050 in the Czech republic. These estimates are done for the business as usual scenario and then six different policy scenarios. The effects of direct government subsidy on BEV purchase are modelled along with the impacts of increase in ICEV registration tax, mineral oil tax surge or an expansion in charging stations market. Consequently, the results from CGE modelling are combined with LCA as the detailed BEV battery material composition data are used to estimate the material impact of increased BEV usage. The results from CGE modelling show a clear increasing trend in BEV usage in the future years for the baseline scenario, in addition, the modelled government scenarios incentivizing the BEV usage were shown to have a pos- sitive effect on BEV sales in the Czech republic while...

Valuation of Tesla share
Adášek, Jan ; Veselá, Jitka (advisor) ; Diviš, Martin (referee)
In my bachelor thesis, I worked on an analysis of Tesla Inc. (TSLA). The output was to decide whether the stock is undervalued, overvalued or at the level of its intrinsic value. In order to fulfill this objective and provide an investment recommendation I performed analysis from three perspectives. Global macro analysis was focused on the influence of macroeconomic variable on the stock and US capital market. Sector analysis was run deeply into market structure of electric vehicles to evaluate its potential in the future. Finally, fundamental analysis on the corporate level was done using Free-Cash-Flow-to-Firm method. Last, but not least I performed valuation using historical models in order to confirm my conclusion.
